My Microdosing Experience
From the outside, my life seemed ideal: a loving partner, a wonderful daughter, a creative career, and a successful musical past. But internally, I was consumed by relentless self-critical thoughts, nightmares, and sleep paralysis. Over time, I withdrew from life, lost joy in my work, and fell into severe depression. Therapy helped but didn’t break the cycle.
Desperate for change, I committed to a 30-day psilocybin microdosing protocol. Initially, the effects were subtle, but after two weeks, my nightmares stopped entirely. In the third week, a small moment—a song’s bassline—reignited my love for music and brought back joy in simple activities.
For the first time in years, I could step back from my negative thought patterns and let them go. This clarity led me to reevaluate my career, close my tattoo studio, and balance guest work with full-time psychology studies.
Microdosing didn’t transform me but helped me reconnect with myself. It’s not a miracle cure, but it profoundly changed my life, and for that, I’m deeply grateful.
