The Wood Wide Web

Mother earth gives us everything we need to heal. The forest, the soil and fungi are all part of an interconnected system, also called ‘the Wood Wide Web’.

Recent studies show us that fungi are the communicators between the roots of the trees. The fungi send mycelium, a mass of thin threads, through the soil and connect the roots of the trees. The mycelium picks up information, nutrients and water, bring them back to the root and are balancing the ecosystems, saving carbon. In this Wood Wide Web, the fungi are able to exchange nutrients for the trees and even remove dead waste.

If the mycelium is connecting trees and providing them nutrients what will it do for me you ask?
